Our CSV parser supports quoted fields, doubled quotation marks, embedded line breaks and an optional UTF-8 byte-order mark. Data cleaning proceeds in memory on your device.
Validation before transformation
Malformed CSV quoting and inconsistent field counts are reported rather than silently discarded. Header names are required for column-based tools.
XLSX import safety
XLSX parsing reads cached cell values; formulas are never executed. Workbook formatting and external links are not imported. All XLSX exports store values as text and do not evaluate formulas.
Spreadsheet safety
CSV downloads can neutralize formula-like cells by inserting a leading apostrophe; this can change the visible value in some spreadsheet programs, and cannot guarantee safety across all importers. The default protection can be switched off only after reviewing the risks.
Privacy and correctness
Email/phone detection is heuristic. Date conversion intentionally avoids ambiguous day/month formats. In all cases, keep original copies and verify the result in the intended application.
